Accessibility
We want anyone to be able to book a plumber, whatever device they use and however they use it. This page says honestly where the site stands.

1.What we are aiming for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA. That is the standard most UK organisations work to.
We are partially conformant. Some parts of the site do not fully meet the standard yet, and they are listed in section 3 rather than left for you to discover.
2.What we have done
- Every field in every form has a label a screen reader can announce, and the fields that ask for your own details tell your browser what they are, so autofill works.
- There is a “skip to main content” link, so you do not have to tab through the whole menu on every page.
- The scrolling banner across the top stops entirely if your device is set to reduce motion, and pauses when you hover over it or reach it with the keyboard.
- The menu button on phones announces itself properly and says whether the menu is open.
- Pages work at 375 pixels wide without sideways scrolling, and text can be enlarged.
- Images carry text descriptions.
3.What still needs work
We know about these and they are being worked on.
- The embedded map. It comes from Google and we do not control how it behaves with a keyboard or a screen reader. Our full address and phone number are written out on the page as text, so you never need the map to contact us.
- Some small text is low contrast. A few small headings in our brand red do not have quite enough contrast against their background. We are changing that colour for small text.
- Some links and buttons are small. Several footer links are smaller than we would like to tap comfortably.
- Pages are heavy on a slow connection. Some pages load large photographs and can be slow on a poor mobile signal. We are reducing them.
- The star rating control in the review box works with a keyboard but is not grouped as clearly as it should be for screen reader users.
4.If the website gets in your way
Phone us on 07307 331103 and we will take your details and book the job that way. You never have to use a form to get hold of us.
If you would rather write, email [email protected].
5.Telling us about a problem
If you find something on this site you cannot use, please tell us. It is genuinely useful and we would rather know. Email or phone using the details above and we will reply within five working days.
6.How this was assessed
This statement is based on our own testing rather than an independent audit. The site was checked in a browser at phone and desktop sizes, with a keyboard, and with automated checks for contrast, labelling and text size.
